International flights typically route through hubs in Europe, the Middle East, or elsewhere in Africa, usually with one or two connections depending on your origin.
Once you land, the onward journey works in two stages for most northern-circuit itineraries: a road transfer of roughly 45-60 minutes from JRO into Arusha (where many travellers spend their first night to recover from jet lag), followed by either a short domestic flight or a longer road transfer into the parks themselves, depending on which zone you're visiting first.
Domestic safari flights within Tanzania operate on light aircraft, typically 12-16 seat Cessna Caravans, flying scheduled routes between a hub airstrip and multiple park airstrips in a single circuit — meaning your flight may make one or two brief stops to drop off or pick up other passengers before reaching your specific destination.
